INVITATION IDEA:
Make the party invitation into a royal proclamation by using a fine-tipped metallic gold pen on sheets of pink parchment copy paper. Roll the invitation and tie it with a pink ribbon or fold into thirds and seal with a pink sticker.

Make Painted Party-Time Hats:
You will need:
• Waxed paper
• Flat-edged paintbrush, 1/2 inch wide
• 8 purchased cone-shaped party hats
• 1 bottle (4 ounces) gesso
• 2 bottles (4 ounces each) acrylic paint in desired colors
• Glitter in desired color
• 8 36-inch squares of sheer fabric such as chiffon, tulle or organza
Cover a clutter-free work surface with 2 long sheets of waxed paper, overlapping them by 2 inches. Using the paintbrush, cover the outside of one hat with a generous coat of gesso, making sure to cover any designs or lettering. Repeat with each hat. Clean and dry the brush. When the gesso is dry, cover the outside of each hat with a coat or acrylic paint and set aside to dry. If necessary, apply a second coat of paint. If desired, add a sprinkling of glitter for sparkle.
