Directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter, the early buzz on this move is good—unlike when Lewis Carroll first published the book in 1865. It's been said that critics hated Alice's Adventures in Wonderland because it encouraged imagination and lacked a moral at the end of the story. Imagine their horror at Burton's adaptation then!
