Forgive me baby, but I keep wondering if it will ever end! The morning sickness that is … not the pregnancy. This week has seemed much more like my first pregnancy. The morning sickness that was confined to key points during the day seems to be slowly creeping into other times. Ironically, the only time of day that I feel consistently good is morning! In truth, I still feel much better than I did when pregnant with Jacob. That being said, I just seem to have a nagging feeling of "yuck"! The urge to perch myself within inches of the bathroom door doesn't exist this time, but this week has left me feeling quite drained and all around useless!

In spite of the ever-present ill feeling, we've had a very good week. Our whole family took the weekend off and ventured to the annual fair held in my hometown. (Rob and I actually went to high school together and our parents still live one town apart, so the fair was a wonderful excuse to visit with our families.) Jacob had the time of his life! He actually went to the fair last year at a mere ten months of age and seemed to be in his glory then. Who could have guessed how much more fun it would be to take him this year! We rode rides (calm ones Mommy could handle), pet sheep, cows, horses and more, and ate more food that I ever dreamed I'd be able to handle! (Recall Jacob's allergies throughout the past year and a half and you'll get a sense of how happy we were to be able to eat anything at all!) We spent Friday night watching a volunteer fireman's parade with over 45 trucks -- imagine Jacob's wonder -- and all day Saturday wandering around the fairgrounds. It turned out to be the nicest day New England has in the past several months.
