If your child plays sports, injuries may be inevitable, but there are some things you can do to help prevent them:
1.Enroll your child in organized sports through schools, community clubs and recreation departments where there may be adults who are certified athletic trainers.
2. Make sure your child is in proper physical condition to play the sport.
3. Schedule a pre-season physical exam.
4. Be sure your child knows and follows the rules of the sport and knows how to use athletic equipment.
5. Buy the appropriate protective gear for your child's sport and make sure it's worn for practice as well as competition.
6.Encourage your child to always warm up before playing.
7. Be sure your child has enough fluids during practice and competition to maintain proper hydration.
8. Do not let your child play when tired or in pain.
