Have you installed a slide-bolt latch on the outside of the bathroom door to prevent young children from entering?

Have you installed toilet and cabinet locks?

Do you have automatic nightlights?

Do you use a non-skid mat under slippery area rugs and bath mats?

Do you always stay in the bathroom with a child who is bathing? A baby can drown in only one inch of water.

Do you always check bathwater temperature before bathing baby? It should never exceed 100 degrees.

Does your tub or shower have a slip-resistant surface?

Is your water heater set at 125 degrees or lower?

Do you bathe your child in the end of the tub opposite the faucet?

If you have a porcelain, cast-iron or steel tub, have you tested it for lead? Of tubs tested, 62 percent of porcelain tubs, 77 percent of cast-iron tubs and 25 percent of steel tubs tested positive.
