You're finally getting ready to go to China to bring home your new baby. What a remarkable experience this should be! What will it be like? What do you bring? Now is the time to read as much as you can and ask your every question. Parents who have gone to China are happy to share their knowledge with you. Here are loads of tips to help your trip run smoothly:
What to Pack:
The first thing to consider is that you'll be carrying everything yourself, including a squirmy baby on the way back. So pack lightly. Each adult should have one check-in suitcase with a sturdy handle and wheels; one carry-on with a change of clothes and your documents; and a backpack for traveling around China and for holding all the baby gear you'll need on the ride home.
Other suggestions:
Bring an empty duffle bag to carry purchases, a luggage cart, an elastic luggage cord and fanny packs. Some people bring clothes they can discard in China to leave more room for souvenirs.
